Travel Information

Newbury Racecourse is about 1 mile east of Newbury town centre and is easily accessible by road, bus and train. It's just 10 mins drive from the M4 motorway, and has its own bus stop and train station (both 2 minutes walk from our show). We've given you some travel advice on this page to help you get there.

If you're coming by car then there's free parking for hundreds of cars just next to the entrance to our show.

Travelling by Public Transport

The racecourse has its own bus stop. From Newbury town centre, take the number 9 bus. Buses run every hour, at 15 mins past the hour from Newbury Wharf and the journey takes 10 mins. You need to get off at the Grandstand bus stop which is a 2 minute walk from our show. Click here to see the bus timetable. The number 9 bus does not run on a Sunday.

There's a train station at Newbury Racecourse, and trains run directly from Reading and Newbury. Great Western Railway run the trains so please go to their website by clicking here to plan your journey. For wheelchair users, please be aware that the train station does not have accessible facilities, so you're best to get off at Newbury train station and get a bus or taxi to the racecourse.

If you need to get from Newbury train station to the bus stop at Newbury Wharf (or vice versa), it's less than half a mile. Click here to see a map that shows the route.
